The Jetsons are Getting a Live-Action TV Reboot from ABC

The future is now! ABC is partnering with Warner Brothers Television to develop a brand new live-action, multi-camera comedy show based on the classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon family, The Jetsons.

The pilot has found its home at ABC with a sizable put-pilot commitment. It will be written by Gary Janetti (Family Guy, Will & Grace), who will executive produce alongside Jack Rapke and Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit). The Munsters is Getting a Reboot, again!

The Munsters are returning to television! Reported by Deadline, NBC is currently developing a (second) reboot for the classic television series, The Munsters.

The new series will be moving the setting of the show to “hipster Brooklyn” taking the Munsters away from their suburban California neighborhood of Mockingbird Heights.  It will return to being a 30-minute comedy series and continue focusing on the family as they attempt to fit in with their neighbors (and world) while still trying to remain true to who they are.   Continue reading “The Munsters is Getting a Reboot, again!”

Is How I Met Your Dad finally in the works?!

After 208 episodes, How I Met Your Mother ended with a finale that shocked many people. Long story short: Ted ended up win Robin after the mother died. How I Met Your Mother was nominated for 28 emmys over the nine seasons.

Stretch Armstrong is Getting is Own Animated Series on Netflix

It has been announced Hasbro will be teaming up with Netflix to create an original animated series based on the popular classic toy, Stretch Armstrong.  The toy was originally created in 1976 and was a muscled doll which was advertised to be able to stretch from its original size of fifteen inches up to four or five feet.  The character was being developed for a movie, but remained in development hell.

Miami Vice Reboot Coming To NBC, Produced by Vin Diesel

NBC and Vin Diesel’s production company, One Race Television, are teaming up to reboot Miami Vice.  Shana Waterman is the head of this program and is known for her other shows such as: 24, Live Another Day, and Wayward Falls.  Universal Television will also be involved in the reboot, while Diesel and Waterman executive produce. Photo Report: Pandora – The World of Avatar is Truly Immersive

For years, plenty of people including myself asked why did Disney purchase the rights of Avatar?  Who thought this was a good idea?  It was announced in 2011 and then took three years to just break ground on the land, then another three to open.  Needless to say, people had their doubts.  Even me!  Truth me told, I wildly dislike the film Avatar.  I think it’s incredibly overrated and gawk when people tell me it’s their favorite film.  I can easily get a better film and story from Disney’s Pocahontas, which Avatar is pretty much that, but in space.  But that’s not what this article is about.  It’s about the brand new land at Animal Kingdom.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is Getting a Sequel, But Not How You May Expect

You read correctly!  Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas is finally getting a sequel, just not an animated one.  Apparently, the publishing company Tokyopop has been granted the rights to write a comic book sequel to the classic stop-motion animated film.
