It’s that time of year again.  Ready or not, Christmas is upon us!  Gaylord Palms is getting the ball rolling for the season and just announced this year’s theme for their annual event, ICE!.

In celebration of the 15th anniversary of ICE!, this year’s event theme will be Christmas Around the World.  The ice sculptures will represent a variety of flags around the world, a two story slide, Santa’s workshop, and a traditional Nativity scene.  The exhibit, which will contain two million pounds of ice, will be carved by ice artists all the way from Harbin, China!

“We’re excited to bring this theme to Central Florida, especially since the Orlando area hosts millions of visitors from around the world each year,” said Johann Krieger, general manager for Gaylord Palms Resort. “We feel this year’s Ice! theme and our other holiday events embrace cultural diversity and our unifying similarities, celebrating love and peace during this special time of year.”

The event will also offer many of the classic as well as new attractions for its guests this year.  Cirque Dreams Unwrapped will be debuting a brand new 25-minutes show with new costumes, stunts, and never before seen acts.  And Build-a-Bear Workshop will have a brand new scavenger hunt throughout the resort.

Don’t forget the resorts 60 foot tall Christmas tree which will present an all new light show with interactive elements guests can become a part of with special merchandise.

ICE! tickets begin at just $28.99 for adults and $14.99 for children.  It’s recommended to purchase in advance.  You can learn more about tickets and the event here.
