Back in May, we reported that Portobello Country Italian Trattoria would not be returning after it’s lengthy refurbishment and a new concept would be taking its place when it reopens this fall. Well, we finally have a name and more information on that!
Disney Springs’ newest restaurant addition will be called Terralina Crafted Italian. James Beard Award-winning Chef Tony Mantuano is returning from Portobello to develop the new menu, and Chef Justin Plank will also be returning to run the kitchen.
The multi-million-dollar makeover of the space is transforming the building into a design inspired by the lifestyle of Italy’s Lake District. The inside of the new restaurant will resemble that of an Italian home, with an open kitchen, dining rooms with eclectic decor, and will feature a brand new veranda bar right outside the main entrance.
The family-style serving italian restaurant will offer authentic Italian cuisine and will include artisanal pizzas and fresh vegetable dishes fired up in a wood-burning oven. There will be two new signatures dishes on the menu – mussels and a grilled pork chop – along with favorites from Portobello such as the antipasti platter and signature pastas.
“We are excited to have created Terralina Crafted Italian with a vision to deliver authentic food, hospitality and every last detail as part of a memorable guest experience,” said Andy Lansing, president and CEO of Levy Restaurants, who owns the restaurant.
Terralina will be open for lunch and dinner. No opening date has been been announced as of yet. Thanks for reading. Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for all of your geeky needs!
